As if Monday morning's storms weren't enough to send you running inside, a new round of severe weather came through during the late afternoon and evening. Fortunately, the worst of the weather seemed to miss our area. Fairfield was hardest hit, with over 2,100 power outages reported by United Illuminating as of 7:30 p.m.. A few outages were reported elsewhere, including more than 140 in Easton. Weather.com has the latest forecast.
