Nancy Boccanfuso, 62, Rite Aid Worker

Nancy Maude Boccanfuso, 62, a lifelong Norwalker who worked at the East Avenue Rite Aid, died at her home Sunday. According to the Magner Funeral Home obituary, Boccanfuso loved to help people and “did so religiously until her own illness prevented her from doing so.”

“Nancy was a wonderful woman,” Mildred Dumont said on the funeral home’s website. “I always went to Rite Aid and had many laughs with Nancy. She was always there to help out other people.”

Boccanfuso loved boating, camping, traveling, her family and her animals. She was an avid QVC Shopper.

She is survived by husband Gennaro “Jerry” Boccanfuso Sr.; her sons, Anthony Boccanfuso and wife Jolie of West Haven; Gennaro “Jerry” Boccanfuso Jr. and wife Amy of Norwalk; daughter Michelle Boccanfuso of Norwalk; brothers John Everson and Donald Smith of Florida; sister Dorothy Gray of Norwalk; and three grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Help Tony B Fight BKD or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
