Services for Brian Petronella, president of United Food and Commercial Workers 371 of Westport, will be held Tuesday at Magner Funeral Home from 3:30 to 8 p.m.
Petronella died at his Norwalk home Friday night, according to published reports. He was 54 years old.
The local 371 of Westport posted a note on its website announcing his death, but did not give a the cause of death.
Petronella led talks that helped avoid a strike between Stop & Shop and its workers union, according to published reports. Those wishing to join UFCW 371 in prayer are encouraged to visit the office until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
