I-95 Bridge Project Will Cause Lane Closures

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Drivers on I-95 can expect lane closures between Exit 7 in Stamford and Exit 10 in Darien due to a bridge maintenance project that starts Sunday, Sept. 25. The project is scheduled to continue until Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is Sunday through Thursday evenings from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes and 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes. No work will be performed during the Columbus Day Weekend.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is reminding drivers that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Drivers should maintain a safe speed when driving through the work areas.
