Drivers May Face Delays As DOT Shifts Lanes Of Route 1 In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation will shift lanes on Route 1 between the I-95 southbound Exit 14 ramp and Fairfield Avenue in Norwalk during the day on Thursday, Dec. 11.

The lane shifts are required to accommodate future drainage, utility and sidewalk work in conjunction with continuing improvements along Interstate 95 and Route 1 in Norwalk.  

The shift affects U.S. Route 1 northbound and southbound lanesbetween the I-95 southbound Exit 14 ramp and Fairfield Avenue.

The lane shifts will be completed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting. 

Motorists should be prepared for delays along Route 1 and seek alternate routes in area
