Connecticut's highways rank 3rd in fatality rate, 45th in percentage of deficient bridges, 33rd in rural interstate pavement condition, 33rd in urban interstate pavement condition and 23rd in urban interstate congestion according to the report.
Connecticut ranked 43rd overall in 2011.
Number one on the list is Wyoming, and Hawaii came in at 50.
