Aquarion Lifts Water Restrictions

Heavy rain over the past few days and less humidity have resulted in the end of water restrictions in Fairfield County. A plea for voluntary water restrictions has been lifted by the Aquarion Water Co. on Friday. Customers can now use water for any purpose.

"Due to changing weather patterns and recent increased precipitation, we are now in a position to halt our voluntary water restrictions. We would like to thank all customers who assisted us in this important effort," Bruce Silverstone, Aquarion's vice president of corporate communications said in a release. Bridgeport-based Aquarion serves nearly 580,000 people in 39 communities throughout Connecticut.
