Travel May Be on Grad's Horizon

After taking four years to obtain her certification as a legal assistant, Giselle Agudelo believes a break might be in order. "I'd like to do some traveling,'' Agudelo, of Norwalk, said prior to graduation ceremonies Thursday at Norwalk Community College.

Agudelo, a 33-year-old native of Colombia, started at NCC by taking ESL courses. She switched to studying to become a legal assistant. She would like to travel for a year because she figures it's a good time. She's considering traveling to South America and Europe. "Hopefully, my savings will support me,'' she says.

If she doesn't travel, Agudelo will continue to pursue a career in the legal profession. She's hopeful of taking the bar exam at some point down the road. "If I take, I'd like to stay here and become a lawyer,'' she says.
