If you have nominated and voted for your favorite teacher for our Star Teacher contest, you have reason to be excited: The prizes just got sweeter.
The Top 3 teachers in Star Teacher will win a new bigger prize of $5,000 for their school's parent-teacher organizations. The remaining winning teachers from each town, outside of the Top 3, will earn $1,000 for their school's parent-teacher organizations. All winning teachers will also earn a $100 gift card to Staples for supplies for their classrooms.
You can track the Top 5 teachers from each town in the leader-board on the side of every page on this website. The Top 3 will earn the new $5,000 prize for their PTOs.
Remember, you can vote everyday for your favorite Star Teacher and leave as many comments as you like. And if your teacher hasn't been nominated yet, there's still time. Only teachers with 25 or more votes are eligible to win the Star Teacher award.
