Letter: Greater Norwalk Arts Council Gets Great Start

NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk.DailyVoice.com accepts signed, original letters to the editor. Letters may be e-mailed to letters@dailyvoice.com.

To the Editor,

We'd like to thank everyone who helped make the Greater Norwalk Arts Council's launch party such a great success.

The Artists' Market, a longtime member of Norwalk's creative economy, hosted the event with outstanding participation from some of the great restaurants and businesses that are helping to make Uptown Norwalk a destination: Valencia Luncheria, the Lime Restaurant; Giuseppe Trattoria, Taste of Brasil; Café Turnier; and Tucker's Café. Other generous donors included Fountainhead Wines, Shoprite and Crystal Ice.

The council provided an opportunity for 16 member artists to share their work as part of this public arts program. Minuteman Press sponsored the stage that showcased a select group of area performers from the successful area talent competition "So You Think You've Got Talent" (CA Titus Production): Tangela Smith, Morris Parker, Cynthia Preston and Carol Logen.

Norwalk Arts is a nonprofit member-powered organization passionate about promoting, coordinating and celebrating the vibrant and culturally diverse greater Norwalk arts scene. Consider joining the council and becoming part of what makes Norwalk great!
