Westport Police Department's Holiday Toy Drive Begins Friday
WESTPORT, Conn. — The Westport Police Department will make the season a little brighter for kids in need with their annual Holiday Toy Drive. Hosted by the Local Union 2080 and the Police Benevolent Association, the program runs from Dec. 1 through 17 at several locations around town. The organization is accepting new, unopened and unwrapped toys as well as cash donations. Thousands of toys donated to the program will be distributed throughout Fairfield County and beyond. Holocaust Survivor Shares Her Story At Westport Production Of 'Anne Frank'
WESTPORT, Conn. – Westport Community Theatre’s production of "The Diary of Anne Frank" will feature a talkback with Holocaust survivor Judith Altman following the Dec. 3 matinee of the play. Altman, whose story parallels Anne Frank’s in many ways, will talk about her survival and answer questions from the audience. Save Your Corks This Holiday Season To Help The Darien Nature Center
DARIEN, Conn. -- As the season of entertaining ramps up, the Darien Nature Center is asking community members and businesses to save their bottle corks during the holidays. Not only will doing so help the environment, but it will also help raise funds for the ongoing care of more than 40 resident animals at the Nature Center. 30 Musicians Rock Out In Wilton This Weekend To Help The Hungry
WILTON, Conn. – Wilton Rocks for Food will host its third benefit concert for the Connecticut Food Bank and the Wilton Food Pantry on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 8 p.m., at the Trackside Teen Center in Wilton. The concert will feature more than 30 Wilton musicians. Last year’s event raised more than $48,000 for the two organizations.
