Slip into Summer Solstice Chic

You don’t have to be an ancient Druid to appreciate the Summer Solstice. The longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere is today, and the style savvy know just how to rock the right look for the occasion.

What you’ll need to look your best on the solstice, and all summer long:-- A good pair of shades: The right sunglasses give you a little bit of an edge and a cool attitude on a hot, sunny day. But they’ll do more than make you look good. Choose a pair with UVA and UVB protection to save your baby blues (or browns or greens) from the ultraviolet rays of the sun.

-- A flirty sundress: The best thing about sundresses is that they come in so many lengths, colors, styles and patterns that there’s literally a dress to fit everybody. If you’ve got a good pair of gams, go short! Keep the lines loose and you’ll rock this fresh look from daytime into night. Longer maxi dresses add a layer of glam to your look. And if you haven’t hit the gym as often as you’d like lately, pick a style with a capped sleeve for a little more coverage.

-- A pair (or three) of great sandals: Skip the sneakers for summertime, unless you’re jogging. Espadrilles, wedges, or even flip-flops with a little bling are a sexy way to show off that pedicure.
