Round Out Your Wardrobe at Roundabout

This fall, think outside the mall. For pieces that will stop your friends in their tracks and have them asking, “Where did you find that?” you must bravely go where only the savviest shoppers have gone before.

Roundabout Designer Consignments in Westport offers perhaps the highest concentration of designer and vintage pieces in Fairfield County. And on Saturday, August 21, they’re reopening their doors to display all their latest items for fall.

“We just got in 40 pieces of Chanel jewelry from an estate,” says owner, Laurie Perren.  “They’re gorgeous.” By her inflection, just how gorgeous they are is clear.  “We have Chanel bags, too, and clothing of course. But these 40 pieces are pretty special.”

Laurie, a New Canaan resident, has owned Roundabout for 20 years.  Since then, she’s added stores in Greenwich and Manhattan, including a newly opened SoHo storefront. “Nothing hits the floor in any of my stores without my approval. Nothing,” Laurie says.  “Quality is always priority.”

As for what Fairfield County shoppers can expect for the re-opening, Laurie says, “I can’t wait for our customers to see what we have in for the season. We have some exquisite pieces from Chloe, Balenciaga, Hermes, Manolo Blahnik—everybody! We have everybody!”

Her enthusiasm extends beyond her clothes to her clientele. “Westport women love to shop. They buy interesting pieces. It doesn’t even have to be a designer they’ve heard of—they’re open to everything. They know clothes, and they like a bargain, which makes doing business here a lot of fun.”

Find Roundabout—and maybe a killer pair of Manolos—at 170 Post Road West, in Westport, or call them at 203-227-4334.
