Registration Opens For Boston Buildup Races In Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Registration has opened for the popular Boston Buildup running series, which begins with a 10-kilometer run Sunday, Jan. 5.

The series includes four runs stretching over two months. The runs increase by 5 kilometers in successive events and are frequently used as training for runners preparing for spring marathons. The Buildup series, started by Norwalk resident Jim Gerweck, begins its 36th year.

The 10K run begins at Brien McMahon High School. The rest of the schedule includes a 15K in Ridgefield on Jan. 19; a 20K in Fairfield on Feb. 9; and a 25K in Norwalk on March 2.
