Matsu Sushi Taps Into World Water Week

Most Fairfield County residents don’t need an excuse to head into Matsu Sushi. The Japanese restaurant in Westport is renowned for its fresh fish and comfortable dining room overlooking Jesup Green. But now through Saturday, Matsu offers one more reason for you to stop by. It's participating in an award-winning UNICEF program called Tap Project. Tap Project is a program dedicated to making safe, clean water accessible to children all over the world.

Tap Project works like this: During World Water Week, patrons at participating restaurants will be asked to donate $1 for the tap water they usually enjoy for free. More than a thousand restaurants across the country are collecting these donations. And for every dollar donated, UNICEF can provide one child access to safe, clean water for 40 days, which makes your donation an important drop in a very large bucket.

Want to help? Head over to Matsu Sushi for lunch or dinner, now through March 26, and donate $1 for the water you drink. Matsu Sushi is located at 33 Jesup Road in Westport.
