While some people might not equate makeup with automobiles, there are those of us who can spot that cotton candy-pink Cadillac and know instantly that its driver sells the venerable Mary Kay cosmetic line and sells a lot of it.
But the company, being fashion forward, knows that black goes with everything. Last week at its annual gathering in Dallas, TX, company executives gave its fleet of independent beauty consultants another reason to sell a lot of moisturizer and mascara: a black Ford Mustang V6. It has joined the stable of available cars its consultants can win when they sell moundfuls of makeup. The Mustang shares Mary Kay's garage with the Malibu, Equinox and the Toyota Camry.
Of course the coveted pink Cadi is still the most popular for uber-successful Mary Kay salespeople. In this case, pink will always be the new black.
