I have discovered the happiest happy hour around and it's at Burger Bar Bistro in South Norwalk. The early evening deals abound at this burger mecca, where the beef is triple ground and topped with such over-the-top fixings as bacon, egg and cheese, goat cheese and truffle oil, shrimp and provolone, and many more. There are killer veggie and turkey burgers, meatloaf sandwiches, salads, pizza, kid friendly items and entree specials daily. Almost any time is a good time to hit Burger Bar, but you can't beat their happy hour deals.
Every Monday to Friday, the haven for burger lovers offers a work day blues buster to help you wind down. From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. daily all draft beer is $3 ($2 for Miller Lite), call drinks are $5, and if it's been a really rough one, shots are $3.
On Mondays, grab a free hot dog with all the fixings. Tuesday is taco night with $2 tacos. Complimentary wings are on tap on Wednesdays when there's also live acoustic music, and free pizza is offered on Thursday . The happy week of deals winds up on Friday with $4 flavored Smirnoff cocktails and a nod to what the place is famed for - the burger. If you're not up for boozing, BBB also has a terrific lunch deal from Noon to 3:00 p.m. where $10 gets you a two-topping burger, fries, and a house salad.
