Westport is a natural fit for this salon, says Casey. Women here like to look good. They take care of themselves and their hair. Its a good fit for me, too, she explains. Im pretty naturalin my approach and my stylingrather than super-trendy.
Women in this town have a very classic style, agrees salon owner, Effi Andriotis. Effi has owned and operated her eponymous Westport salon for a decade. Im very picky about who I hire. I look for a certain personality in my stylists. I can teach the rest, she says. Im a family-oriented person, and I try to create that atmosphere within my staff and my clientele.
Her approach is effective; in the four years Ive trusted my hair to Effis, Ive seen precious few new faces among the staff at this full service salon. And thats just the way I like it.
Consistency is so important, says Casey. When you have different stylists cutting or coloring your hair over a period of time, you can tell. But when its consistent, the result is much more natural-looking.
