The event will include music, mingling and tastings of gourmet food and drinks from restaurants in Fairfield County, showcased in their dream kitchens.
Entertainment will include a performance by STAR’s own Ruberband -- a rock and roll group of performers with developmental disabilities and staff members from STAR -- as well as by The Extras, a local rock band. Myriad television monitors in the showroom will also feature STAR videos
The event will also feature a Chinese auction of desirable wines, gift items and restaurant certificates.

All proceeds benefit STAR, Lighting the Way’s programs and services for infants, children, adults and seniors who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
STAR is a nonprofit organization established in 1952 to serve individuals of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families. STAR creates opportunities for individuals to live full lives with independence, freedom of choice and personal growth by providing support, services and advocacy.
It informs and encourages the community to recognize and appreciate the value of all individuals. STAR serves over 600 individuals from birth through their senior years in Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Wilton, Westport and Weston.
