Bedford Signs New Contract With Police Department After Three Years BEDFORD, N.Y. - Three years after it expired, an agreement has been reached between The Town of Bedford and Police Benevolent Association of Bedford.The existing collective bargaining agreement, which expired on Dec. 31, 2012, will be extended to Dec. 31, 2018 and will provide for increases to the base wage, employee contribution to health care costs and improved the sick leave monitoring system. “The agreement required considerable negotiation with a great deal of give and take. Trumbull Police Say Report Of Build-a-bear Theft At Mall Was Fake TRUMBULL, Conn. - The Trumbull police were called to the Westfield Trumbull Shopping Park on Monday afternoon on a report that a man dressed in a Federal Express uniform had robbed the Build-A-Bear store, according to the Connecticut Post. Wassaic Woman Charged With Burglary At Family Member's Home AMENIA, N.Y. – A Wassaic woman was charged with burglary by the New York State Police after the resident of the home broken into called police saying that the person was still in the home. On Oct. 4, the NYSP were called to a home in Amenia when a woman returned home to find that screens had been removed from her window. Nyack Man Charged With Selling Synthetic Drug That Caused Death NYACK, N.Y. -- A Nyack man has been charged with with selling a synthetic drug known to have caused at least one death, according to Preet Bharara, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Two Yorktown Teens Arrested For Shoplifting at Macy's YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Yorktown police were called Monday evening to the Macy's on Lee Boulevard after store employees reported they had two 17-year-old girls who allegedly had been caught shoplifting. When police arrived, they determined the teens had been working together to take items of clothing valued at nearly $370, police said. Yorktown Teen Charged With Forged License, Marijuana Possession YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- While on routine patrol a Yorktown police officer found an 18-year-old woman in a car near Lakeland High School with marijuana and a forged driver's license, police said. Millbrook Man Struck Woman With Lamp, Police Say MILLBROOK, N.Y.– State Police were called to a Millbrook home after a call that there had been a domestic dispute on the evening on Sunday Oct. 4. When the police arrived, they determined that a woman at the residence had been struck in the head with a lamp causing a cut to her scalp and a fractured arm.
