Man Killed In Bridgeport Shooting Thursday Night BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport Police were investigating the shooting death of a man Thursday night. Av Harris, the city's director of communications, said the victim was shot once at 360 Palisades Ave. According to the Connecticut Post, the shooting occurred at 6;30 p.m. and a possible suspect was in custody at the scene less than an hour later. Norwalk Woman Who Jumped To Her Death Was Daughter Of Famous Newsman NORWALK, Conn. — The 60-year-old woman who jumped to her death from the garage at Norwalk Hospital was the daughter of a longtime television broadcaster. Norwalk police identified Mary Reasoner as the woman who died on Dec. 12 after jumping from the third floor of the garage. Her death was ruled a suicide by the state medical examiner's office. Westport Firefighters Tackle Dumpster Fire Wednesday Afternoon WESTPORT, Conn., -- Westport firefighters doused a dumpster fire near a Westfair Drive home Wednesday afternoon. The call came in around 2:10 p.m. with four engines, the truck company and the shift commander responding. Firefighters from Engine 5 and Engine 1 extinguished the fire in the 20-yard dumpster.  The Westport Fire Marshal’s office is investigating. Stamford Man Charged With Selling Fake Crack Cocaine STAMFORD, Conn. -- A drug dealer with no honor? What is the world coming to? Police said a man they questioned about an apparent drug deal they observed Monday afternoon first denied any illicit transactions and then said he did do a drug deal but only sold fake crack cocaine to his customer after police discovered what appeared to be two small bags of crack cocaine on him. Police said a test revealed that the crack cocaine was actually "beat" a term used for fake drugs. It didn't help city man Dwayne Davis, 19, as he was charged with misrepresenting a controlled substance.
