Fairfield County resident Jennifer Farber Dulos, age 50, of New Canaan, was declared dead officially by a judge on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, according to ABC News 7.

Dulos' mother, Gloria Farber, who is the guardian of her children, had petitioned the court to declare Jennifer dead to protect the children's assets, the news outlet reported.

Dulos, whose body has never been found was last seen on Friday, May 24, 2019, after dropping off her children at school and was reported missing later that same day after failing to show up for numerous meetings by friends.

She is believed to have been killed by her late husband Fotis Dolus, who killed himself when he was arrested in connection with her murder.

The trial for Fotis Dulos' former girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, is set to begin Thursday, Jan. 11 where she faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence, and hindering prosecution.

She has pled not guilty and fought for five years to clear her name. Police believe Troconis helped Fotis Dulos get rid of evidence and cover up the crime.

Fotis Dulos is believed to have allegedly killed Jennifer in the garage of her New Canaan home and then disposed of her body.

New Canaan Police and Connecticut State Police have spent countless hours searching for her remains.
