Anthony Pacchioni, RD, has been named director of dining services. Dennis Huntley is the new director of facility operations.

“We are delighted to have Anthony and Dennis join our management team and welcome them both into their new positions,” said Bill Piper, Waveny’s CEO. “Their leadership will play an integral part in ensuring that the ‘Waveny experience’ continues to reflect the mission, vision and values of our five-star rated organization.”

In his new position as Director of Dining Services, Pacchioni will oversee and manage dining operations at both Waveny’s Farm Road campus – which includes food services for the Care Center, The Village, the Adult Day Program and Meals on Wheels – as well as at The Inn, Waveny’s independent living residence at 73 Oenoke Ridge.

A member of the Compass Group since 2008, Pacchioni has had a steady course of promotion since that time, serving in positions including registered dietitian, executive chef, and director of food & nutrition for Wartburg Rehab of Mount Vernon, N.Y., before joining Waveny.

Primary focuses going forward will include ongoing quality maintenance and enhancement of Waveny’s “point of service” or restaurant-style dining, in which food delivery and plating occurs directly in dining rooms and on units.

“Waveny is proving to be a great fit for me because much like the organization as a whole, I strive for excellence,” said Pacchioni. “I’m driven by this commitment to quality coupled with a healthy sense of urgency on behalf of the many people we serve.”

In his new role as director of facility operations, Huntley will manage and oversee the mechanical systems and facility operations throughout the healthcare organization’s main campus – a 100,000-square-foot operation. He will also chair Waveny’s Safety Committee.

His extensive history of facility management includes healthcare experience, most recently with Long Ridge of Stamford, where he directed all phases of maintenance at the 120-bed nursing and rehabilitation center.

“I look forward to working with my new team to continue to provide the safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment that Waveny is known for,” Huntley said.

Waveny LifeCare Network provides a comprehensive continuum of healthcare to serve the growing needs of older adults from all areas. Waveny is a not-for-profit organization that offers independent living at The Inn, assisted living for people with Alzheimer’s and memory loss at The Village, and skilled nursing at Waveny Care Center.
