Fatal Crash: CT 23-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Car Hits Tree, Parked Car One person was killed in an overnight crash in Connecticut. It happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, June 29, in Middlesex County, on Route 1 near Post Avenue in Westbrook. According to Connecticut State Police, while negotiating a left-hand curve on the roadway, the vehicle, a 2007 Honda CRV, traveled into the right shoulder and made contact with a curb. The car the hit a tree and parked car before rolling over and coming to a rest on the driver's side. Tornado Touched Down In Northeast During Round Of Severe Storms: Here's When, Where A tornado touched down in New York State during a round of severe storms, the National Weather Service has announced following a survey of the damage. The tornado hit the village of West Winfield in southern Herkimer County late Saturday morning, June 22. It's about 60 miles east of Syracuse and 85 miles west of Albany.
