A 41-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to drown two young children at a Connecticut beach. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 2:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, at a West Haven beach in the area of Ocean Avenue and Dawson Avenue. Romney Desronvil, of Queens, New York, was in custody and arrested in connection with the "heinous act," said West Haven police spokesperson Sgt. Patrick Buturla. A 94-year-old Connecticut woman drowned while swimming at a state park beach. The incident occurred in New Haven County at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison on Thursday, June 20. According to Will Healey of the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, EnCon Police, along with the Madison police and fire departments, off-duty lifeguards, and EnCon Rangers, responded to a report of a swimmer who submerged and did not resurface at Hammonasset Beach State Park. A 1-year-old Connecticut boy died after being attacked by two family dogs. The incident took place in East Hartford in a home on Fuller Avenue around 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 13. According to East Hartford Police Officer Marc Caruso, officers responded to the home where they found the boy had been bitten several times by a dog. One person is dead and two are in critical condition following what police in Connecticut believe was an attempted carjacking in broad daylight. The incident took place in Hartford around 3:15 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3, in the area of 1429 Park St. According to Lt. CT Troopers Rescue Driver Who Suffered Medical Event On I-91
Connecticut State troopers helped rescue a limousine driver who suffered a medical event on I-91. Authorities received a report from one of the vehicle's passengers that the driver had experienced a medical event and was unconscious at about 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, State Police said. The limousine had been traveling in Hartford County in the high-occupancy vehicle lane on I-91 northbound at Exit 34 in the town of Windsor, police said.
