Waterbury Man Gets 8 Years In Prison For Botched Kidnapping, Shooting A Connecticut man who tried to kidnap a Western Massachusetts man at gunpoint on New Year's Eve 2022, but shot him instead when the man fought back, will serve eight years behind bars, authorities said.  New Haven County Marc A. Student Kidnapping Attempt: CT Man Charged In 2 Cases, Police Say A man has been charged with attempting to lure two Fairfield County students to his car, and in one case, grabbed a student and attempted to drag her to his vehicle. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 11 a.m., Thursday, April 27 at Central High School.
