Waterbury Man Flees Crash, Nabbed With Drugs, Cash, Police Say
A Connecticut motorist who allegedly fled the scene of a crash was caught hiding with drugs and cash, police said.
The incident occurred in Ridgefield at around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, in the area of 786 Ridgebury Road.
According to Capt. Jeff Raines of the Ridgefield Police, officers responded to a motorcycle accident report and found the vehicle lying in the roadway but no rider.
During a search of the area, officers found a jacket and a backpack in a nearby yard containing a "large amount" of narcotics and a firearm, Raines said.

A Connecticut man has been charged with evading responsibility after he allegedly took part in a large street takeover and left the scene of a crash.
New Haven County resident Jonathan Delgado, age 40, of New Haven, was charged on Monday, Sept. 11 for the incident that took place on Saturday, July 8 in Milford.
According to Milford Police, on July 8, some 300 dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles drove through Milford causing many traffic delays and violations.

20-Year-Old From Guilford Killed In Crash On Connector To I-95 In New Haven
A 20-year-old Connecticut man was killed after losing control of his vehicle and striking a metal guardrail.
The crash took place in New Haven around 2:40 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20, on the Route 34 connector to I-95.
According to state police, Kareem Mohammad, of Guilford, was driving a Kawaski Ex 650 motorcycle when for unknown reasons he lost control, left the roadway, and struck the metal beam guardrail.
Mohammad was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway, state police said.
He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries, state police said.

Man Dies After Being Ejected From Vehicle In Crash On CT Roadway, Police Say
A 51-year-old Connecticut man was killed after being ejected during a single-vehicle crash.
The crash took place in East Hartford around 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, on Route 2 near Exit 5.
According to the state police, Glenn Pelletier, of Plainville, was killed when for an unknown reason, his 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the concrete barrier off the left side of the roadway.
The impact caused Pelletier to be ejected from the motorcycle, causing fatal injuries, state police said.
Pelletier was pronounced dead at the scene, they added.

Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In North Haven
A New York man was killed after losing control of his vehicle and slamming into a metal guardrail in Connecticut.
The victim, Putnam County resident Gabriel Ramos, age 34, of Carmel, was traveling northbound on I-91in North Haven around 10 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, when the crash happened, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to police, lost control of his 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle and hit a metal beam guardrail, and was thrown from the bike.
He was transported with life-threatening injuries to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he later died.

Man Killed After Crashing Near New Haven Home, Police Say
A 23-year-old Connecticut man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing near his home.
Gerver Sinay-Sacrapal, of New Haven, was killed around 6:22 p.m., Sunday, April 4, on Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven, said New Haven Police Captain Anthony Duff.
According to Duff, Sinay-Sacrapal was operating a Kawasaki EX400 motorcycle and traveling southbound on Quinnipiac Avenue near Essex Street when he attempted to pass a vehicle and lost control of the motorcycle.
He then struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, and upon impact, he was ejected from the motorcycle, Duff said.

Police have identified a motorcyclist found lying in the roadway following a crash.
Kevin Parham, 55 of Norwalk, formerly an Ansonia resident, was found around 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29, at the intersection of East Main, Main, North Main and State streets in Ansonia, said Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch.
