The incident occurred in New Haven County at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison on Thursday, June 20. CT 3-Year-Old ID'd As Drowning Victim A 3-year-old Fairfield County child has been identified as the victim of a drowning in a backyard kiddie pool. Related: Infant Drowns At Bridgeport Home The incident occurred in Bridgeport around 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at a home on the city's west side. According to Tiadora Josef, spokeswoman for the Bridgeport Police, the child was found unresponsive in a small 3-foot children's pool. Girl, 9, Rescued From Swimming Pool At CT Home A 9-year-old girl was rescued from a Fairfield County swimming pool by a bystander who administered first aid. The incident occurred in Danbury around 3 p.m., Sunday, May 25, at a home on Westwood Terrace. According to Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Fire Department, the girl, who was unconscious, was recovered from the backyard swimming pool by a bystander.  That person immediately administered first aid to the child, and by the time emergency services arrived, Henry said she was breathing on her own.  She was transported to the hospital by EMS. Man Found Unresponsive In Water At CT State Park Dies A 78-year-old man who was found unresponsive in the water at a Connecticut state park later died. The incident took place in New London County around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6 at Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme. Officials with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the park of a man found in the water at the park, said Paul Copleman, a spokesman for DEEP. Carlos Manuel Escobar Bonilla and Luis Montano are credited with saving a man’s life at Cummings Beach in Stamford around 11 p.m., Monday, July 3, said the Stamford Police.
