BIRDCODE, yep, it's all caps, opened one of the eateries in Fairfield County on Wednesday, Jan. 24 in Darien, serving up sandwiches, salads, tenders, and Southern-stye sides that are said to set your mouth on fire.

43-Year-Old Struck, Killed On CT Roadway
A 43-year-old Connecticut woman was killed when she was struck by a car as she was walking along a roadway, police said.
The incident took place in Tolland County around 5:15 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 7 in Vernon, in the area of 135 Talcottville Road.
When police arrived on the scene they found Trina Gould, of Vernon, lying in the southbound lane of the roadway, said Lt. Robert Marra of the Vernon Police.

The owner of a Connecticut construction company and an equipment operator has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a worker who was buried in a collapsed trench.
The incident took place in Tolland County on Friday, July 22, 2022, at a construction site in Vernon that killed Hartford County resident, Dennis Slater, age 56, of East Windsor.

A 23-year-old man is facing an arson charge after investigators reported that he set a masonic lodge on fire in Connecticut.
Tolland County resident Gino DeGrandis, of Vernon, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 13, and charged with third-degree arson and first-degree criminal mischief, Connecticut State Police reported.
A witness called police at about 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, to report a fire at the Fayette Masonic Lodge, located at 141 Orchard St. in Ellington, police said.

Man, Woman Found Dead At Home In Residential CT Neighborhood
Police are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead inside a quiet residential neighborhood in Connecticut.
The two were found in Hartford County around 5:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28 in Vernon.
According to Lt. Robert Marra, of the Vernon Police Department, officers responded to the home at 21 Vinetta Drive for a report of two "untimely deaths."
Upon the officers' arrival, they located a man and a woman who had died from gunshot wounds, Marra said.
The victims have been identified as Anthony Priester, age 61, and Karen Priester, age 60, both of Vernon, he added.
