19-Year-Old Woman Killed, 4 Hospitalized In Overnight CT Crash
A teenager was killed and four others hospitalized in an overnight single-vehicle crash in Connecticut.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in Tolland County in the town of Willington.
A 2007 Subaru Legacy with five occupants, all from the town of Bethel in Fairfield County, was traveling southbound on River Road when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn, according to Connecticut State Police.
One of the passengers, 19-year-old Maria Damata sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead, said police.

A Connecticut man has admitted to fraudulently obtaining $100,000 in COVID-19 relief funds meant for his small business and instead using it for personal expenses, federal officials said.
Tolland County resident John Matava of Coventry, age 59, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Jan. 2 to charges related to his scheme to obtain COVID-19 relief funds, the US Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut announced.

A Connecticut woman charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy is back in jail after allegedly Snapchatting an underage girl.
Tolland County resident, Alyson Cranick, age 42, of the town of Columbia, was charged on Tuesday, Nov. 28, with violating the rules of her conditions of release on bail, said the Connecticut State Police.

Hours after a Connecticut man originally trespassed on someone’s property, he took it a step further by breaking in, police said.
It happened on Tuesday, Nov. 7 in the Tolland County town of Mansfield, according to Connecticut State Police.
