CT House Fire Sends Firefighter To Hospital, 14 Residents Displaced
A Fairfield County firefighter was taken to the hospital and 14 residents were left homeless following a two-alarm house fire. The blaze started in Danbury just after 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17 on Locust Avenue. Arriving firefighters found a 3-story, multi-family home with heavy smoke emitting from multiple sides, said Capt. Body Of Missing CT Swimmer Found By Divers In Popular Lake
Divers have recovered the body of a man who went missing while swimming on Candlewood Lake in Fairfield County. The man, in his 20s, was found around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28 in the area of the lake in Brookfield -- near "Chicken Rock,'' -- where he went missing on Friday, June 24. Man Dies After Falling In, Being Pulled From CT Lake
Police have identified a 76-year-old man who died at the hospital after falling into Candlewood Lake in Fairfield County, authorities announced. In Brookfield, Wayne Pogers was reported missing to police shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 after he had not been seen by his wife for an extended period of time.
