Hit-Run Crash: Young German Shepherd Killed In North Haven Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help locating a Ford pickup truck that allegedly struck and killed a young German Shepherd. The crash occurred in New Haven County around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, near 1650 Hartford Turnpike in North Haven. According to North Haven Police, it is believed the 2-year-old dog was struck by a white Ford pickup truck or SUV heading north on the Hartford Turnpike, which did not stop.   The suspect vehicle should have front-end damage.  "Help us find who did this," the department said.  Anyone with information or video foot…

Police Probe Series Of Smash-Grab Burglaries In North Haven Police in Connecticut are investigating after a series of smash-and-grab robberies occurred within a few days. The latest incident occurred in North Haven on Sunday, March 24 at the Mobil Gas Station on State Street. According to North Haven Police, four people wearing masks and hooded shirts smashed the front glass door of the gas station and made off with some $2,000 in cash and two cash registers before fleeing in a stolen car that was taken from Manchester. The incident took place in North Haven on Saturday, Sept. 24 on Dixwell Avenue. 'Killer' Scam Reaches Connecticut; Police Advise Potential Victims The person texting certainly seemed to know the victim - and the threat to kill him and his family appeared to be real. But it was all a hoax. North Haven Police are warning people about a vicious scam. The Police recently took a complaint from a person who had been contacted by an unknown person who claimed to be a member of a drug cartel. The scammer went on to note personal information about the victim - telephone number, address, date of birth, etc. - before asking for money, police said. If the money was not delivered, the scammers said, then the victim and his family would be killed.…
