Heavy traffic and delays are expected as the New York State Thruway Authority plans to close a bridge over I-95 in Westchester for the summer. Officials are cautioning that the Boston Post Road Bridge over I-95 in Rye will be closed beginning on Tuesday, July 6, with the closure expected to last through at least Wednesday, Sept. 1. Busy Roadway Closed In Fairfield County Due To Shooting, Police Say
A busy roadway in Fairfield County is closed in two sections due to a shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries. As of 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, north Route 8 is closed in Bridgeport and Trumbull, said the Connecticut State Police. The northbound lanes between exits 4 and 5 in Bridgeport and exits 5 and 8 in Trumbull are expected to remain closed for a sustainable amount of time. Serious Crash Causes I-84 Closure
A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13. Connecticut State Police said the crash led to a large fuel spill. Eastbound traffic is being detoured to local streets at Exit 11. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes if possible. I-95 Stretch Reopens After Crash
This story has been updated. A stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County has reopened after a serious two-vehicle crash caused its closure. The closure was northbound in Westport between Sherwood Island/Route 476 (Exit 18) and Route 1/Center Street (Exit 19) on Saturday, Nov. 28. I-95 Stretch Reopens After Serious Crash
This story has been updated. A stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County has reopened after a serious crash. The crash, which involved a tandem tractor-trailer, happened before daybreak on Tuesday, Nov. 17, on the northbound side under the Meadowbrook Road overpass in Fairfield between Route 1/Exit 23 and Black Rock Turnpike/Exit 24. The roadway was closed for several hours while the truck was removed.

A bridge replacement project in Westchester will force the closure of the Hutchinson River Parkway over the weekend.
