Worker Killed After Truck Crash In Fairfield County
An investigation is underway after a landscaping truck fatally struck a company employee in Fairfield County over the weekend. Police responded to the crash in Wilton at 77 Danbury Road (Route 7) at about 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, according to the Wilton Police Department. The Wilton Fire Department and Wilton EMS also responded to the scene. Authorities found that the truck had run over an employee of the landscaping company, and the employee was trapped under the truck. A construction worker in Fairfield County died after falling from a building platform at a home he was working on, police said. First responders from the Newtown Police Department, Sandy Hook Fire Department, and Newtown Ambulance were dispatched to a Lakeview Terrace property at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, where there was a report of an accident. ID Released For Construction Worker Killed In Norwalk Fall
A construction worker who fell to his death while working during the early morning hours on the SoNo Collection in Norwalk has been identified. Lorgio Jimenez-Suarez, 52, of Astoria, fell around 2:39 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the new shopping area located at 100 North Water Street, said Lt. Terry Blake with the Norwalk Police Department. Blake said Jimenez-Suarez fell from an elevated height. Arriving officers rendered aid to Jimenez-Suarez, who was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance where he later died, Blake said.
