Man Strangles, Threatens To Kill Girlfriend With Firearm At Home In Stamford, Police Say A 31-year-old man is behind bars after police say he strangled and threatened to kill his girlfriend and her friend with a firearm during a domestic violence situation early Saturday morning in Stamford. The incident occurred around 9:20 a.m. on Ludlow Street where the victims had locked themselves in the bathroom, according to police. Stamford Police surrounded the house, closed the street, and safeguarded the other occupants of the multi-unit residence. A tactical response team, led by Sgt.
