A suspect wanted in Fairfield County for attempted murder was arrested in New York City after his vehicle was spotted in Westchester. Westchester County Police say information was developed that the suspect might be traveling through the area and had established surveillance on several parkways. Manhunt Underway For Prisoner Who Escapes Custody In Area
A massive search is underway after a 22-year-old headed to the Westchester County Jail escaped custody. Isaiah Washington, 22, was being transported to the jail in a minivan in Mount Vernon when he managed to slip out of his handcuffs and run off in the area of Manor Ridge Road and Boston Post Road in Pelham overnight Saturday, May 25. Driver Arrested After Hospitalizing Westchester County Police Officer During Chase On The Hutch
A Westchester County Police officer was injured when a man rear-ended her patrol car while attempting to evade arrest in a stolen gypsy cab. The Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center alerted the Mount Vernon Police Department of a stolen vehicle in the city shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, County Police spokesman Kieran O’Leary said.
