Bridgeport Man Charged With Sex Assault Of 2 Sisters He Met On Facebook BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 47-year-old Bridgeport man has been charged with sexually assaulting two young sisters from the Bronx whom he met on Facebook, according to the Connecticut Post. Raymond Ortiz, 47, of Ruth Street, was charged Wednesday with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor and was held on $75,000 bond, the Post said. Darien Homeowner Tries To Chase Down Men Spotted In His Driveway DARIEN, Conn. — A Darien homeowner who heard men in his driveway in the middle of the night tried to chase down the suspects in his car, police said. Two Toyota 4Runners Reported Vandalized In Darien DARIEN, Conn. — Darien police are investigating after a resident reported that a pair of Toyota 4Runners were vandalized along a local roadway. The 2007 SUV and a 1998 SUV were parked on the road near 14 Beach Drive overnight when they were vandalized, a resident told police on Dec. 24. Pesticide Truck Destroyed By Fire In Trumbull Driveway TRUMBULL, Conn. — A pesticide truck was destroyed by fire on Wednesday, but Long Hill firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby home, according to a Facebook post. The first arriving firefighters were able to stop the spread of flames in the truck fire. The damage to the Trumbull home was limited to just radiant heat and exterior smoke damage, the Facebook post said. No injuries were reported. Smoked Salmon Produced In CT Recalled Due To Listeria Fears Nodine's Smokehouse Inc., which is based in Torrington, is recalling some packages of smoked salmon because they may be contaminated with Listeria. The recall affects 1.5-pound and 8-ounce packages of smoked salmon from Nodine's Smokehouse with lot numbers of 40173 and 33173.
