Dorothy M. Washburn, 80, Lifelong Greenwich Resident, Lab Supervisor

GREENWICH, Conn. - Dorothy M. (Roberto) Washburn, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, died May 12. She was 80.

Washburn was born to Louise and Anthony Roberto. She was a member of St. Paul's Church in Greenwich. She worked for many years as a lab supervisor at Barnes Engineering and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Washburn is survived by sons, Brian (Donna) of St. Augustine, Fla., and Chester Washburn (Kathleen) of Watertown; three grandchildren; sisters, Mary Roberto Oliver of Norwalk and Ida Roberto of Greenwich; and brother, Anthony "Tut" Roberto. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Chester Washburn, Sr.; and brothers Nick, Angelo, Joseph, Jerry and Larry Roberto.

A service will be held Monday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 84 Sherwood Ave., Greenwich.
