Anne Polke Vernon, who spent most of her life in the Greenwich/Port Chester, N.Y., area, died Sept. 6. Vernon was dedicated to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed bringing a smile to friends and family. Vernon spent her later years at Nathaniel Witherell and Parsonage Cottage.
Vernon is survived by her children, Arden Danzing, Michael Polke; stepson, Gary Vernon; and four grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Castiglione Funeral Home Inc. on Hamilton Avenue. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. Burial will be private. Memorial donations can be made to the National Urea Cycle Disorder Foundation, 75 S. Grand Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105.
