"The idea last year was to have some of our long-term relationships come down and have dance lessons for Valentine's Day," Keelin Daly, marketing director at Abilis, told Daily Voice. "Then the owner of the studio (Chris Georgopulo) ramped it up to be a Sweetheart Ball. It happened really quickly, so we didn't have a lot of couples come.
"But this year we've had a year of momentum for this, so it's really exciting," Daly added. "I think the celebration of community that comes out of it is great. So we have the sweethearts who are partners, and we've also got the community partnership between Ablilis and Arthur Murray, which is amazing ... them embracing Abilis.
"It reflects the good fortune we have in a community like Greenwich that embraces everybody."
Smiles were on every face as the sweethearts learned a few dance steps, then put them to work with the music and their partners as they celebrated Valentine's Day in style.
