FAIRFIELD, Conn. Fairfield Warde runners set several school records at the Yale Track Classic indoor track and field meet over the weekend in New Haven.
Distance runner Harry Warnick ran the 3,000 in 8:43.14 to finish third in Saturdays Section 1 race. Warnicks heat was the fast of 11 races in the event. Warnicks time is second best in the state for the 2011-12 indoor season, according to a national website that tracks running performances.
The girls 4 x 800 relay of Jillian Tallent, Jackie Wall, Lexi Hoadley and Caroline Keough ran 8:43.14 and finished fifth in the 21-team competition among Connecticut schools.
