Police: Teen Causes $1,500 In Damage To Fairfield Home

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A 17-year-old girl was charged with causing more than $1,500 worth of damage to a Fairfield home Friday night, according to police reports.

Police were called to a domestic dispute at the victim’s Fairfield house at about 11:20 p.m. Friday. The suspect, who is not a Fairfield resident, got into an argument with her boyfriend at his house and began damaging the residence, police say.

The girl kicked holes in sheet rock walls, broke windows and screens and damaged a banister, according to the police report. The total cost of the damage is estimated at more than $1,500, police say.

The victim was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport for an evaluation, according to the police report. The suspect was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. She was released to her parents’ custody and is due in juvenile court April 8.
