- Fairfield police detained Rosa Blanca Chavarria-Medina, 31, the orders of the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Chavarria-Medina had been arrested on drunken-driving charges in a speeding six-car pileup at Cumberland Farms off I-95.
- Fairfield police arrested Hamza Malick, 27 and Gabriel Jorquera, 20, after officers saw two cars racing down Kings Highway in the pouring rain.
- The Fairfield Fire Commission voted not to renew Deputy Fire Chief Art Reid's contract, and an online petition on Change.org calls for First Selectman Mike Tetreau to explain why Reid's contract was not renewed.
- Court records revealed that 18-year-old Natalie Carpenter, of Torrington, was plotting to carry out a Columbine-style shooting at Danbury High School to get back at people, she felt bullied her. She was arrested last month and is held in police custody.
- Fairfield police charged 18-year-old Robert Koripsky of Stratford with intent to sell pot at Fairfield University.
- Nikolaos Simoulidis, 39, of Norwalk and Rossvin Badilla, 30, were arrested on charges of fighting at a Fairfield parking lot.
