FAIRFIELD, Conn. Rose Shepro of Fairfield died May 26 of pneumonia. She was 100.
Shepro attended Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University. A lover of classical music, the arts and the piano, she was a piano teacher. She was also an artist and her work was displayed in the homes of her children and grandchildren. Her artwork was also on display at the People's Bank branch on Stratfield Road in Fairfield.
She worked as an executive assistant before marrying William Shepro in 1941. After he died in 1965, Shepro worked as an administrator at the American Red Cross chapter in Holyoke, Mass. She then worked as a real estate salesperson for Sydney Barron in Springfield, Mass., and Shirley Horowitz in Fairfield.
Shepro is survived by a son, Daniel (Sherry) Shepro; a daughter, Susan (Alan) Lewis; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home in Fairfield. A private burial will follow in Fairview, Mass. Shiva will be observed Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Sherry and Daniel Shepro in Fairfield, and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Susan and Alan Lewis in Weston.
