Dealership's Owner Enhances the Cadillac Brand

Cadillac automobiles symbolize luxury and performance. But for Patrick Ryan, owner of Cadillac of Greenwich, the vehicles also represent an opportunity for growth. "It was apparent to me that Cadillac was in the midst of a tremendous comeback in the automotive world, and during the past few years, they've reinvented themselves in a very positive way," he said.

After leaving his career in accounting and the world of finance 20 years ago, Ryan became the COO of many different companies, including a luxury resort hotel, a cosmetics company operating in mainland China, and a commercial real estate group. But something about the auto industry stuck with him.

"The automobile industry is a constantly changing arena that is very competitive at all times," he said. "I like operating in an environment where it is important to evolve and compete."

In 2005, Ryan decided to form his own company, the Ryan Auto Group, which a few months later purchased Saab of Greenwich and then Cadillac of Greenwich. "We decided to purchase Cadillac for the purpose of not only operating it, but also accelerating its growth in Fairfield and Westchester counties," he said.

Ryan enjoys the challenge of growing a business in a very competitive market place. He is very proud that Cadillac of Greenwich has become the largest new car Cadillac dealer in Connecticut.

"This business is all about the team and the customers satisfaction," he said. "Our team recognizes the need to challenge ourselves every day to be better than the day before. We also recognize that our success depends entirely upon our customers happiness."

A resident of Fairfield, Ryan loves being able to give back to the area communities. "I recognize how fortunate it is to have a business in Fairfield County," he said. "I believe firmly that one of our roles is to give back to the community by providing support to area organizations."
