Several people were nabbed on drunk driving charges in the Hudson Valley over the holiday weekend, including a Westchester woman rescued from a rolled-over car and a taxi driver, police said. The arrests were announced by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, Oct. 17, and were all made over Columbus Day weekend. Fairfield County Man Killed In Crash With Tractor-Trailer
Police are investigating after a 74-year-old Connecticut man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 55 in the town of Dover, a hamlet of Wingdale, around 3:45 p.m., Thursday, June 13. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, a 2010 Chevrolet pickup was on Route 55 preparing to enter traffic on northbound Route 22 when it pulled into the path of a 2020 Kenworth tractor-trailer. Fairfield County Man Dies In Route 22 Crash In New York
A Connecticut man has died three days after a three-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley on Route 22. The crash took place on Monday, April 26, on Route 22 in Putnam County in the town of Southeast when a driver struck a vehicle while passing cars on the shoulder of the roadway, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. A preliminary investigation indicates a 2008 Honda CRV operated by, Ricardo Bregante, age 57, of Carmel, was traveling north on Route 22 passing to the right of vehicles on the shoulder of the road, Hicks said. CT Duo Nabbed In Three-County Stolen Vehicle Chase
Three people were arrested after a three-county stolen vehicle chase that started in Norhern Westchester County. The chase began around 10:10 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, New York State troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a 2015 Kia Forte for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on I-684 in the town of Bedford, said Trooper AJ Hicks. The driver of the vehicle failed to comply and led the troopers northbound on a pursuit reaching speeds over 120 miles per hour, Hicks said. Fairfield County Man Accused Of Masturbating In Public Parking Lot
A 23-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested for masturbating in a public parking lot in Putnam County, police said. On Thursday, Dec. 10, State Police at the Brewster barracks said they responded to reports of a man masturbating in a public parking lot on Route 22 in the town of Southeast at approximately 7:15 p.m. Maxwell D. Cleary of Bethel was charged with the misdemeanor of public lewdness. Cleary will appear in the town of Southeast Court in December to answer his charges.

Toll On Mile-Long CT Stretch Of I-684 Would Be 'Unfair Taxation,' Westchester County Exec Says
A proposed toll gantry on a brief stretch of I-684 that runs through Greenwich has drawn criticism from Westchester County Executive George Latimer. Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont introduced a plan for 12 statewide tolls, including one in a stretch of I-684 near the Greenwich-North Castle town line that will force truck drivers to pay a toll as high as $20 despite being in the state for only about one mile. Police: Female Passenger From Danbury Hits Cop After Man Charged With DWI
A woman from Danbury became combative during a traffic stop on Route 22, allegedly striking a Putnam County Sheriff’s Sergeant attempting to take her into custody. A Sheriff’s Deputy stopped Danbury resident Ronald Rodas-Loor, 22, shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19 on Route 22 in Southeast, when he was spotted committing a violation. During the stop, while speaking with Rodas-Loor, it was determined that he was allegedly intoxicated and he was arrested. Fairfield County Man Found Dead Pinned Under Dodge Ram
An investigation is underway after a 58-year-old Fairfield County man was found dead underneath a pickup truck in Dutchess County. New York State Police troopers responded to a 911 dispatch of a man pinned under a vehicle on Route 22 in the town of Pawling on Friday, June 1 just before 8 a.m. James C. Roberts of Danbury was trapped under a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. Pawling Fire Department removed the vehicle, but Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene by EMStar Paramedics.
