Darien High School Senior John Lochtefeld Earns DAR Good Citizen Award This year’s Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award has been given to Darien High School student John Lochtefeld, son of Nancy and Tom Lochtefeld. This award is given to the DHS senior who “best exemplifies the qualities of patriotism, citizenship, dependability and service to community.”  Elected by faculty and fellow senior class members, John will receive the award as well as a pin and certificate from DAR Good Citizen Chairman, Kim Kiner, and Regent, Catherine Love, during the holiday gathering, which will be hosted by Winifred and Tom Lom. Darien High School Senior Receives DAR Good Citizen Award DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien High School senior Connor Henry was recently awarded the 2017 Good Citizen Award by Darien's Good Wife's River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Henry received the award at a DAR holiday reception held at the Darien Historical Society. The award is given to a student who best exemplifies the qualities of patriotism, citizenship, dependability and service to the community. DAR Regent Katherine Love and DAR Good Citizen Award Chairman Kim Kiner presented the award to Henry while his parents, Greg and Annie Henry, and sister Brittany looked on.
