Trump Appointee From Greenwich Resigns Over Offensive Remarks
GREENWICH, Conn. -- An appointee in the Trump administration has resigned after a CNN report detailed a number of racist, sexist, anti-Muslim and anti-LGBT comments he made in radio interviews in 2013. Carl Higbie, a former Navy SEAL and media personality, had been appointed chief of external affairs for the Corporation for National and Community Service in 2017 after serving as a surrogate for President Donald Trump in the 2016 campaign, CNN reported.
