ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Jacqueline D. Prosper, of Englewood, died Nov. 7. She was 80.
She was born in Petit-Goave, Haiti and emigrated to the United States in 1967.
She was a dedicated parishioner at St. Cecilia's RC Church in Englewood. She was also a registered nurse, working in Quebec, Canada and in Queens, N.Y., until deciding to devote her time to raising her five children as a full-time mother.

HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- Ralph P. Naples, of Haverstraw, died Nov. 9. He was 89.
He was born May 5, 1927, to Mario and Antoinette Napolitano Naples in Saginaw, Mich.
He was a proud World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was superintendent of public works in the Village of Haverstraw, for many years until his retirement. He was sergeant. at arms and a member of the executive board of the Leo Ladders American Legion Post #130. He also was a member of the BPOE Haverstraw Elks Club #877. BEACON, N.Y. -- Samuel Linwood Lunsford III, of Beacon, died Monday, Nov. 7. He was 78.
Born Dec. 7, 1937, in Peekskill, he was the son of Samuel L. and Martha Barksdale Lunsford II.
Lunsford was a retired metal worker for Green Fuel Economizer in Beacon. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during Korea and a member of the Springfield Baptist Church.

BEACON, N.Y. -- Victor DeJesus Rios, of Beacon, died Monday, Nov. 7. He was 76.
He was born Feb. 18, 1940, in Anasco, Puerto Rico, the son of Andre and Brenarda Rios DeJesus. He was a retired factory worker for Metronics Inc. in Beacon.
Survivors include his wife, Dinora Colon DeJesus; daughters, Dinora Garcia, Marilyn DeJesus, Haidee Cruz; brothers, Luis Dejesus, Amalio DeJesus, Efran DeJesus; sister, Luisa Figueroa; grandson, Edwin E. Garcia; and great-grandson, Maddix Mason Garcia.
He was predeceased by his sister, Andrea DeJesus.

She was a saleswoman at Iurato’s Bridal Shop and then Bloomingdales, both in Hackensack, for many years. In her retirement, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends and going to the Tenafly Senior Citizens Center.

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Judith G. DiMenna (Horncastle), of Duxbury, passed away Nov. 7, 2016 at the age of 72.

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. — Remo A. Scremin, of Cliffside Park, died Monday, Nov. 7. He was 90.He was born July 7, 1926, in Hoboken, to Robert and Maria Scremin.
He worked as a salesman for Quaker Soap in Secaucus. He served our country during World War II. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 at the start of the war. He served on the U.S.S.
