Albert Grimaldi, 88, Of Ridgefield
RIDGEFIELD, N.J. -- Albert Grimaldi, of Ridgefield, died Nov. 23. He was 88.
He was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Harlem, N.Y. and before retiring had worked as an agent for John Hancock Insurance in North Bergen.
He is survived by his wife, Annie (nee) Karoyan; children, Cheryl Murphy and her husband Kevin, Cindy and Dan Terry, Paul Karoyan and Paulette Karoyan, the late Alan Grimaldi and the late Karen Rovetto Grimaldi; siblings, Tina Danielle and Alfred Grimaldi and his wife Ellen; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Joseph Vrindten, 54, Of Oakland
OAKLAND, N.J. -- Joseph Vrindten, of Oakland, died Nov. 20. He was 54.
He was born in Stamford Conn. in 1962 and raised in Oakland. He graduated from Don Bosco Prep and William Paterson University, where he received his degree in business administration. He worked as a financial adviser for Prudential for 29 years and was a member of the LUTCF, CLTC and Ridgewood Business Connections. He also spent many years as a coach for Vernon Youth Soccer League and the Vernon PAL Softball League.

DUMONT, N.J. -- Patrick J. O'Connor, of Dumont, died Sunday, Nov. 20. He was 86.
He was an air conditioning and heating engineer for more than 20 years, retiring from Tishman-Spier in New York City in 1993. He was a member and past president of the Bergen Irish Association and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus. He proudly served his country in the National Guard Fighting 69th, NYC.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Anna Contangelo, of Elmwood Park, died Tuesday, Nov. 22. She was 81.
Born in Montescaglioso, Italy to Marianna and Frank Salluce, she came to the United States in 1955. She lived in Paterson for many years before settling in Elmwood Park for the past 35 years. She worked as a seamstress in numerous clothing manufacturers in Paterson and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Martin J. Cullen, 80, of Saddle Brook, died Sunday, Nov. 20. He was 80.
He was born in the Bronx; he’s been a resident of Saddle Brook the past 46 years. He was an electrical engineer for Con Edison in New York for 40 years, retiring in 1998. He was a parishoner of St. Philips Church in Saddle Brook, where he loved serving God with the Holy Name Society and enjoyed working Friday night bingo. Bert Toron, 89, Of New Milford
NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Bert Toron, of New Milford, died Nov. 19. He was 89.
He was born Aug. 3 1927, in the Bronx to Bessie and Benjamin Toron.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 and served in the Seabees until the end of World War II.
Toron was the former owner of Regal Sportogs in Hackensack for 40 years and then employed as a fabric supervisor at Anne Klein Inc. until his retirement at 71. He moved to New Milford in 1958 and resided there until his death.

She was born, raised and educated in Jersey City.
